Thank you – great reminder that the purpose of the church is not to build the church but to work with God in building the kingdom and God does use such a variety of gifts, skills and imagination in his work.

Thanks, Nancy. We’re too busy maintaining the structures of an institution, rather than ‘building for the kingdom’, as Tom Wright would put it.

One of the reasons I enjoy my paid employment so much is that when I gave up some of my church jobs it gave me the freedom in time and energy to really show others the love of Christ in a wordly setting. Keep plugging for it David, it’s the only way!
