Big Circumstance 
I’ve been wondering about this myself, having got back to it after the bombings. Just posted on it, in fact. I wonder whether, among other things, the campaign (rather than the G8) won’t radically alter our pessimism about engaging with the Big Picture. After all, if we really HAVE changed the world …
